Today's episode is all about my goals for the month of May on our homestead. Unfortunately, things aren't going as well as last spring in the garden, but I am trying to blame it on the weather rather than myself. Some of the topics I discuss today are:
- splitting our beehive
- transplanting my warm weather crops
- emptying out my compost bin and trying that process again
- swapping out greenhouse plastic for shade cloth on my raised beds
- taking down the wind break on our garden
- continuing more baby greens and head lettuce successions
- direct sowing beans and more herbs
- drying herbs
