What is Causing the Mandela Effect? Some of the More Common Theories.

There are a lot of theories floating around out there as to what could be the cause of the M.E. phenomenon. Can these changes be attributed to any one of them? Are we living in a Simulation? Is CERN and their Large Hadron Collider REALLY to blame? Or is it merely the result of false memory and misremembering?
