The Future of Adaptive Clothing with Joe & Bella. Adaptive clothing, with features such as easy fasteners, adjustable closures and stretchy fabrics, simplifies dressing especially for those living with physical or cognitive changes. Adaptive clothing enables independence, ease, dignity, and comfort. As we age, we should be able to continue to wear the clothes we love. That's why we've partnered with top designers to craft our full collection. All of our clothes are easy on, easy off, easy on the eyes!
On the show this week is Jimmy Zollo of Joe And Bella. Joe & Bella is the first contemporary adaptive-apparel brand for older adults. They make stylish, comfortable clothes that innovatively balance form and function, making dressing easier, stress-free, and more dignified.
Joe & Bella is a "passion project" of a single-family whose all-too-common experience of caring and advocating for aging parents has led them to innovate and create the finest adaptive clothing for older adults. Though Joe & Bella's beginnings are humble and relatively recent, their promise to improve the lives of older adults, their caregivers, and their families have catapulted their growth.
Jimmy and I discuss why adaptive clothing becomes more necessary as our population ages. Additionally, we discuss why living with age-related changes does not mean wearing clothes that don't look or feel like you. What we wear is a part of our identity.
You'll enjoy this conversation. It'll make you think and, more importantly, look at clothing differently.
