Happy Lag B'Omer! This morning we discuss how Lag B'Omer provides relief from the mourning between Passover and Shavuot. We share a suggestion of my Rosh HaYeshiva, Rav Yaakov Ruderman, ZTZ"L, about the nature of the deficit in the character of Rabbi Akiva's students, and demonstrate this with a powerful story from Dr. Abraham Twerski. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law.
