Episode 63: God's timing is best with Sasha DeFrancesco
Happy Wednesday! With Mother's Day being this upcoming weekend (you're welcome for that reminder 😉) we were so glad to be joined by Sasha DeFrancesco in the studio. Sasha and her family have been attending Desert Springs for seven years and the church was a big part of making Arizona feel like home. Sasha grew up in California and came to know the Lord as a 13-year-old at a church camp. She and her husband Brian were high school sweethearts and as a young married couple had many hopes and dreams for what their life would look like. Sasha was passionate about being an educator and Brian was beginning a career in agriculture. Their dreams changed in a big way when they quickly became pregnant with their first son Jaden. Sasha shares that the Lord put a pause on her dreams as she fell in love with being a mom and being there for her three boys. You'll see how God's hand was in that as Brian's agriculture job became more demanding, causing him to have to be away from the family for extended periods of time. They ended up moving multiple times in a very short period of time and Sasha gets real about how they got through that as parents and as husband and wife. We really appreciate Sasha and how she reminds us that no one's marriage is perfect but that one that is centered on Christ can make it through anything. It all came to a point where they felt they needed to settle down and get some roots in the ground in order to have a family that was together in Christ. This interview will encourage and inspire you as you hear Sasha's heart to always trust in the Lord's timing. You'll also hear about how God took the pause button off on Sasha's dreams to be an educator as she is a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University! He is always working things far better than we could imagine.
