Rooted: Real People, Real Issues, Real Growth
Religion & Spirituality:Christianity
As believers, or people in generally who just seek to be wise and make good decisions, we often equate those efforts to a 'get out of suffering free' card. Where we think because we have been diligent, and intentional, and made good choices, that this automatically means we won’t experience pain, suffering, disappointment, or loss—all of which are a part of being alive and as a human being. Being a good steward of our time, talents and resources, honoring God in our choices, and seeking to serve people are all things we should be doing—they matter to God, to others, and to us—however with that being said, we would be deceiving ourselves if we thought that meant we’d never face hardship, or challenges, or suffering—if we thought we’d never, as Daniels find ourselves in a lion’s den. So, while being a Daniel doesn’t prevent you from having to go to the den, it can prepare you for it and preserve and protect you in it.
So tonight I want to talk about what living like a Daniel looks like.
Remember, everyone is going to go the Den, but you can be someone who makes it out.
