This evening we contrast counting the days of the Omer and the years to Yovel, the Jubilee Year, teaching us about the vision necessary for leadership. We see this is the famous prophecy of Yirmiyahu (the Prophet Jeremiah) where he is instructed in the details of buying a field that is about to become worthless. We discuss the only day the Torah tells us to blow a Shofar (not Rosh HaShana), and the incredible lesson this teaches us, with scientific evidence from research presented at Harvard University, and most succinctly expressed by Nelson Mandela. And we explore Dr. Abraham Twerski's understanding of the covenant in our Parsha, demonstrated by the gift of a food processor.
