Miami Hurricanes Land Alabama WR Tyler Harrell In The Transfer Portal, SPEED & Experience
The Miami Hurricanes have received a commitment from former Alabama and Louisville wide receiver Tyler Harrell through the transfer portal. The Miami native and Columbus HS grad picked The U over Texas A&M and others. Harrell, 6 feet tall and 190 lbs, will likely compete with Jacolby George for a starting spot at boundary receiver. Harrell brings game-breaking speed. He’s been clocked officially on a 4.24 forty yard dash and unofficially at 4.19.
Host Alex Donno brings in special guest Chalupa Batman from All Hurricanes and the U Heard Pod to break down Harrell and what this means for Miami’s wide receiver room. This will offer a huge benefit for quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and should open up space for Miami’s dangerous slot receivers like Xavier Restrepo, Brashard Smith, Ray Ray Joseph and Robby Washington. New Hurricanes wide receivers coach Kevin Beard is doing an excellent job breathing some life into that unit. Does Harrell’s arrival close the door for JUCO receiver Shemar Kirk to pick Miami? Donno and Chalupa discuss.
