DISCUSSION AND STUDY QUESTIONS:
1. What did the podcast tell us about a “maskil”? What are they and what should we do with them? According to your Bible, who wrote this maskil? In broad terms, what is he trying to teach us?
2. The podcast explained that Psalm 32 helps us understand what to do when we’re feeling guilty about our sin. Are there any specific areas in your life where you’re currently feeling guilty about? According to this psalm, what are some things you can do right now?
3. Verse 1 mentions the blessings of forgiveness and atonement. What are some blessings these blessings that you can think of?
4. What does verse 2 mean when it talks about the blessings of not having the Lord impute our sin to us? If He does not impute them to us, who are they imputed to?
5. What was David’s heart-condition when he kept silent about his sin? Why would he have experienced this? Have you ever experienced something like this for keeping “silent” about your sin? What should David have done, instead?
6. What did God’s judgment look like in David’s life in verse 4? Why does sin sometimes have this effect in our lives? Why does God’s judgment sometimes take this form?
7. What does David learn to do in verse 5? What does this look like?
