75. The REAL REAL on Weight Stigma Today we discuss medical weight, stigma, and the need to medically assess patients with very little time. We discuss the idea of weight like a speed limit and the dangers of being over and under. We discuss the egos of medical staff and this idea of “expertise syndrome“ and the medical community having very little time to ask questions and truly listen to patients. We discuss the science of why it is so hard to actually lose weight, and that an increasing number of people with obesity are exhibiting restrictive eating patterns. Please send any questions, insights or successful medical experiences where you stood up for yourself to SRO@ScarlettRameyOfficial.com and thank you to @SpotifyforPodcasters for hosting this.
