The Two Jacks report on the election results from Turkiye and Thailand.

The latter offers hope for change while Turkiye will go to a runoff which Erdogan looks likely to win. For Europe and NATO, Erdogan's re-election is probably a case of better the bastard you know.

We look at the first anniversary of the election of the Albanese government. Polling shows Albo and Labor have picked up a few points on the Coalition who remain languishing with a primary vote in the low 30s. This is no honeymoon effect and the Coalition is in deep trouble if it can't turn its fortunes around.

In sport, we look at AFL goalkicking and ask why it's the one area in the game that has gone backwards since the game turned professional.
