045 Stay in your comfort zone if you're an introvert
In this podcast episode, we're talking about getting out of your comfort zone. I share my perspective as an introverted solopreneur and habit coach and my personal experience of believing that failures were due to my own shortcomings. I felt constant pressure to push myself out of my comfort zone. However, I discovered that this approach doesn't work well for introverts. My mentor taught me a different perspective, emphasizing that it's not necessary to constantly be outside of your comfort zone. Don't get me wrong, working hard and being invested in something is essential if you want to have an impact but doing that for something you love is different from pushing yourself in areas that don't align with your values. Constantly being told to get out of your comfort zone often can cause introverts to block or to deplete their energy. Although, I acknowledge the intention behind the phrase "get out of your comfort zone" as a motivational tool it's important to understanding your own needs and to find a balance (or better yet, a harmony) between challenging yourself to learn something new and giving yourself permission to make it feel easy.
