She also talks about the need to develop the capacities and skills of Somali women in order to better benefit from the country’s vast marine resources.
Our second guest, Maryan Ahmed Hilowle, the Women in Maritime Initiative focal person at the Ministry of Women and Human Rights Development, explains the Women in Maritime Sector National Action Plan, and the ministry’s efforts to mainstream women’s participation in the ‘blue economy.’
The programme is presented in Somali by Ali Gutale and Fathi Mohamed.
