Jennifer Poole was murdered by her ex-partner Gavin Murphy in 2021. Jennifer who was 24 when she died, didn't know Murphy had previous convictions for assaulting a former partner. Since Jennifer’s death, her family have campaigned for a domestic violence register to be created. However, this week documents were released under the Freedom of Information Act that show officials in the Department of Justice have concerns over such a proposal.
