In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about the trade chatter surrounding Tom Wilson. It's Dan's belief that Tom is the next Captain of the Caps and they would be best served to sign him to a new deal sooner than later. Wilson is a leader on and off the ice. Often tagged as a goon, Tom defies that by scoring 20+ goals a season. "RMNB wonders if a Willy for Willy trade could be possible after comparing Nylander’s deal with Wilson. The only issue is Wilson’s status as he only played 33 games this season. But his physical defensive abilities would definitely be welcome in Toronto." Most teams could benefit from having Tom. The Caps should do everything thing they can to lock him up lock him up long term. Mac has said: ""I'd like for Tom to finish up in Washington. He's been a big part of our culture, our group," MacLellan said of the King Clancy nominee. "He's consistency gotten better throughout the years. We're going to do everything we can to sign him."
