Every time you eat a meal—which can be as little as eating a single nut—you activate your digestive system. If our body is continuously putting energy towards digesting our food, it will have less energy to spend on repairing and rebuilding the rest of the body.
Intermittent fasting is important because it gives our digestive system a break and allows it to relax, and this in turn will actually clear up a lot of digestive issues.
Fasting correctly is key. Fasting is not the same as starvation, and knowing the proper techniques to doing intermittent fasting will ensure that your body heals and functions at its peak.
