Do you really need to communicate a diagnosis? |213
On this episode Will and Dalton sit down and discuss whether or not they think it is important to communicate a specific diagnosis. This has been a common topic of conversation in our mentorship and we tend to think that a specific diagnosis is not as important as you may think. As clinicians in school we are built to diagnosis everything. Which is why we probably put a lot of pressure on ourselves to provide this for a client.
We have found the more important piece to be identifying the clients problem which probably has more to do with them not being able to do what they love and communicating to them the steps we will take to help them solve their problem. We often find if this is done very well. The "specific diagnosis" is really not all that important.
