Welcome back to The Film Club! We’re kicking off June with a new theme, Movies about movies! Our first installment of this themed month is The Fablemans. The film tells the story of the Fableman family which happens to be a very talented bunch but one member of the family has a special gift for filmmaking that starts at a very young age. Sammy Fableman falls in love with filmmaking after his parents take him to see his first movie and the desire to create movies begins. Though Sammy’s family moves a lot throughout the years due to his father’s career Sammy purses his dream of creating movies. As Sammy continues to grow older and learns more about filmmaking he begins to see the cracks in his parents marriage which leads him to discovering a heartbreaking secret.
