Tears In The Water | Ashleigh Webb (Part 2) - 601
Ashleigh Webb is one of those humans that the moment you meet them, you feel lit up! Well, that was definitely my experience when she recently introduced herself to me at swimming lessons. It really highlights the light and shade of our human experience as I soon after learned of the 'why' behind Ashleigh's June 2023 English Channel swim to raise funds for The Kallan Lodge Library. The library is her tribute to good friend Kallan Lodge, who died by suicide in 2011, and resource and support for those who need it today and tomorrow.
Ashleigh speaks candidly about her own experience surviving suicide in 2007 and the ebbs, flows in insights from her own journey with mental health and making sense of it all along the way. A beautifully vulnerable conversation that though being a tough topic to speak of it's a blessing to hear Ashleigh articulate her experience and perhaps give us strategies and understanding around either our own journey's or how we might better support our loved ones around these challenges.
Did I mention Ashleigh is as chatty as me?? Well she is, so this is part 2 of a two part convo. Enjoy!
