Miami Hurricanes "Whale Hunting" In First Weekend Of Official Visits, Leaving The ACC A MUST?
The Miami Hurricanes seem confident that their first weekend of June official visits is going very well. Details on Kamarion Franklin’s visit are scarce so far, but host Alex Donno believes that it’s a Miami Hurricanes vs. Tennessee Volunteers battle for the 5-star defensive lineman. The visit for 4-star WR Jerrae “Tank” Hawkins is producing great feedback from the player. Tank plans to announce his destination in late June. 4-star WR Drelon Miller also plans to announce this month, and things are trending nicely for Miami. Donno believes the Hurricanes have a good chance for 4-star LB James Nesta. The Hurricanes are making Juco CB Demetrius Freeney feel like a priority.
Guest Raymond Bourg joins Donno to share his insight and perspective on conference realignment. Raymond does not feel the ACC is sustainable with their current revenue model and feels Miami needs to keep exploring an exit for the Big 10, Big 12 or SEC. He explains why a redistribution of revenue is likely to anger certain schools and lead to an eventual dissolution of the conference. Would the Big 10 be a good destination for Miami with the possibility of so many cold weather games?
