This morning we discuss the insight of Rabbi Yaakov Galinsky on the comment or our rabbis, that Aaron's Mitzvah of lighting the Menorah in our Parsha, B'Ha'alotecha, was greater than the Mitzvah of the Nessiim, the princes of each tribe, who brought gifts to dedicate the alter in last week's Torah portion, Nasso. Rabbi Galinsky explains that Aaron's Mitzvah took place in private, while the gifts of the Nessiim were public and visible. We explain this difference by clarifying the - often misunderstood - concept of Tzniut or modesty, and by sharing a great story from the Chofetz Chaim on the problem with eating Shabbat Kugel on Friday.
