Unanimous SCOTUS ruling against the NCAA opens the door for paying college athletes
Every year, the NCAA and its member schools rake in billions of dollars in revenue, while blocking its student athletes from making any sort of profit. But in a 9-0 decision this week, the Supreme Court says the NCAA is violating antitrust law by placing limits on the education-related benefits that schools can provide to athletes.
