The toll gun violence has taken on America's children
More than 19,000 Americans were killed by guns in 2020, making it one of the deadliest years on record for gun violence according to researchers at the Gun Violence Archive. Washington Post reporter John Woodrow Cox examines the toll this gun violence has had on children. Cox joins CBS News justice and homeland security correspondent Jeff Pegues to discuss how the lasting impact of gun violence goes beyond those physically injured by a bullet. He is the author of the new book, "Children Under Fire: An American Crisis."
