In this episode I am joined by Chelsay, who shares her experience strength and hope. Chelsay and I met last year at a local S recovery retreat, which if there is ever one in your area I highly recommend attending. We touch on a lot of different topics from trusting the transformation down to music and how that ties into our recovery and our circles. During the episode the phrase terminally unique gets brought up. I remember the first time my sponsor told me that I am not terminally unique, which at first I as taken back, of course it was said out of love and not a put down to me. In life we are all different as individuals, however as far as our problems and behaviors we are not terminally unique. So often I can get caught up in the thought process of "nobody will understand what I'm going through so I'm just not going to talk about it, or man I sound like a broken record". All that does is strengthen the core belief that I am alone and that I must do this all on my own. The truth is I am not alone and the more I talk about my problems the more I realize that other can relate therefore it strengthens the belief that I am not alone. Big thanks to Chelsay for the willingness to come on the show and talk recovery, and I look forward to having her back on in the future. As always thanks for joining me on my journey!
Keep coming back, it works if you work it, and you are worth it!
