Miami Hurricanes Add Transfer LB KJ Cloyd From Louisville, Canes Impressed These Blue Chippers On OV
The Miami Hurricanes have added graduate transfer linebacker KJ Cloyd from Louisville. Cloyd played under new Miami linebackers coach Derek Nicholson at Louisville. He will likely be the final transfer player for Miami before the 2023 season begins. Cloyd will likely play a backup role, but host Alex Donno lays out the reasons why this is a very important depth signing. Cloyd is physically mature at 6-2, 229 lbs, good against the run, and his experience with coach Nicholson should be valuable for him helping his teammates adapt. Cloyd has one final year of eligibility.
Donno reminds listeners he has put out a DonnoBall prediction for Miami to land 4-Star 2024 tight end Elijah Lofton from Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas. Donno reacts to his willingness to BLOCK in addition to catch passes. Alex runs down some of the blue chip players who were most impressed by their Miami visits over the weekend. The Canes are making moves for 5-stars Colin Simmons, Ellis Robinson IV, Dylan Stewart and Aydin Breland and 4-Stars LJ McCray, Jerrick Gibson and Braylon Staley. Should Miami fans be worried about verbal commit Chance Robinson having a good visit to the University of Florida?
