Last week we delved into the propensity of our heart to make idols out of our desires, if we failed to guard it. We discussed filters or gates that affect what enters into our hearts and ultimately what comes out. As Proverbs 27:19 says as water reflects the face so the heart reflects the person. What’s in your heart is who you are—and make no mistake what’s in our heart will come out.
Tonight, we’re going to continue this talk about boundaries and discuss how the enemy loves to use temptation to get us to overstep the boundaries God puts in place to protect us. As we lay out three common boundaries that are often overstepped, we’ll go a step further by identifying the lies we are tempted to believe, and truth needed to overcome them, and how to practically break the idols of our heart.
If you’ve ever struggled with in the areas of unmet desire, dissatisfaction, or being discontent, this episode is for you.
