This morning we unpack God's extreme response to the sin of the spies, relative to the response to the sin of the golden calf. We explain this by exploring the principle of Rabbi S. R. Hirsch on Avraham's criteria for choosing a wife for his son, Yitzchak, which is the only criteria that leads to a happy marriage. We then present, based on Rashi as explained by Sivan Rahav Meir, how this could have been avoided, and what we can do to avoid a similar fate.
