This evening we present a famous and foundational lecture given by The Rav, Rabbi Yosef Soloveitchik, in 1974. The subject is last week's Parsha, B'Ha'alotecha, which The Rav analyzes to uncover the pivotal seed of the dissembling in our Parsha, Shelach, the next Parsha, Korach, and the direction of the rest of the Torah. It all starts here with one tragic moment, one incident that changes the course of Jewish history under which we still labor today. This is best expressed for us in a commercial for GrubHub, with great but depraved classic rock music by Freddy Mercury and Queen.
