What Should a Prophetic Word Do?

A prophetic word is hearing or receiving something from God for someone else and then communicating it to them. It is hearing God’s heart for them. We emphasize that a prophetic word should not replace hearing God for yourself but often confirms what God has already revealed to you. This episode unpacks 1 Corinthians 14:3 - that a prophetic word is strengthening, encouraging, and comforting. An important outcome from this is that it will bear good fruit.
