The Goddess, The Witch & The Womb
Religion & Spirituality:Spirituality
Summer solstice, also known as Litha, is the highest point that the sun will be and is the longest day of the year. At this time of year, witches come together to celebrate through bonfires at the top of hills, the spiral dance, and the Fae, also known as the fairy folk. Listen to a story of Áine, an Irish Goddess of summer, love and wealth who was seen to shape-shift into a red mare and a swan.
How do you wish to celebrate Solstice? You are at your height of ascension, where you have grown into your light. You can embrace all you have learned, all the wisdom gained so that when solstice is over and the sun starts to move and get a little lower in the sky, you start embodying all of that transcendent energy that you have come to know in the last six months. Spell work can be around abundance, prosperity, money, and also protection.
