Episode 58: Volume for Pathos with Jay Lafferty
This week the boays are joined by comedian Jay Lafferty. Jay reveals how her drama school background helped her in the world of stand-up, recalls what it was like being a female stand-up on the Scottish circuit in the early-2000s, and discusses why she's taken up pole dancing as part of her show at this year's Edinburgh Festival. Plus, they discuss some of the eccentric(/mental) characters from the old days of the comedy circuit, gigs in dodgy East End pubs and Jay's joke making the front page of The New York Times.
