Flocking fantastic: The benefits of birds on farms
Warren "Chaddy" Chad is a local Condobolin character, builder, and bird enthusiast. From a young age, Chaddy has taken a keen interest in native wildlife, and is especially passionate about the incredible variety of birds that live across the Central West.
In this episode, Chaddy shares how his love of birds has led to him working with farmers, landcare groups, and government agencies including Local Land Services, to conduct important bird surveys across the region. He'll explain how he's grown to appreciate the benefits of birds on farms, and break down the role that local farmers have in the protection of our native birds.
Local Land Services, Senior Natural Resource Officer, Jasmine Wells caught up for a chat with Chaddy while undertaking a recent bird survey.
