Today I'm joined by Candice Wuehle, the author of the novel Monarch (2022), a dizzyingly great work about beauty pageants, dissociation, mind control, and the occult. We start with a discussion of her literary influences and career before we enter a discussion of Monarch's plot and themes up to and including Monarch programming itself.
