B+T interview Marilee and Paul Kostadimas to find out more about meaningful travel, and find out where to travel with kids (and just to simply dream about travel!). Marilee and Paul are the founders of Spotlight Sojourns, and are travel partners in life, through life, for life. Meaningful travel is part of their story from the very beginning. They met as graduate students on an archaeological dig in Paros, Greece, got engaged in Rome, Italy, and married in San Francisco, California. Paul became an in-demand consultant to blue-chip clientele while Marilee built an award-winning career on the power of professional storytelling as a strategist and industry leader in destination management, corporate events, and her specialty, incentive travel. But at the pinnacle of success, they suddenly and unexpectedly left it all behind in California to care for their last parent 3,000 miles away in Canada. During that two-year journey with Mamma, they learned the power of personal storytelling, too. Then a transformational moment in Lisbon, Portugal led them to the new mission to inspire and connect travel do-ers and dreamers with values-aligned travel, tourism, and hospitality brands through expert storytelling ~and~ inspire and motivate others to tell their own spotlight story... because meaningful travel is part of a meaningful life.
