FOUNDATIONS - The Principles of Christ

This message is the first in our foundations series based on these verses - Hebrews 6:1-3 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection not laying again the foundation therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection from the dead and of eternal judgement.

So that first one is the FOUNDATION – of repentance from dead works..  This was written to a church – believers – born again, followers of Jesus – who needed to go back to what the foundations of what they believed – the basic, elementary principles of Christ. Foundations or fundamentals are the basics we build on.
