Ep. 80: Peter Shapiro and Dean Budnick
Weird Music Podcast is all about learning from inspirational musicians and music industry entrepreneurs about how to channel creative energy. This episode features an epic conversation with the legendary music industry entrepreneur Peter Shapiro and the Editor-in-Chief of Relix, Dean Budnick. Peter Shapiro is one of the world's most notable concert promoters in the history of concerts. He owned the legendary Wetlands in Tribeca, he was the promoter for the Grateful Dead's 50th anniversary "Fare Thee Well" tour featuring members of the Dead and Trey Anastasio from Phish, and he now runs Brooklyn Bowl (NYC, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Nashville) and the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Peter recently published an autobiography titled “The Music Never Stops,” co-authored by the widely-acclaimed author, documentarian, and podcast host Dean Budnick, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of Relix. This episode is one for the books! Enjoy.
