Playing running back in the NFL seems to be a detriment these days. The position continues to be devalued and thus teams aren't giving out big contracts to running backs. Yesterday, Tony Pollard of the Cowboys, Josh Jacobs of the Raiders and Saquon Barkley of the Giants were unable to reach agreement on new deals. All three received franchise tags which will pay them $10.9 million for this season. Pollard is the only one of the three that has signed his tag. $10.9 million isn't chopped liver, but look at what QB's are getting paid.
