Transition Awareness Breathing
Education:Self-Improvement
During this episode, Eartha discussed the topic of mindful walking and encouraged listeners to practice mindfulness outside by focusing on the present moment using the five senses. It is typical for distracting thoughts to interrupt concentration. She used the analogy of pop-ups on a phone or computer to explain how distracting thoughts can be acknowledged and set aside during mindful walking practice. Mindful walking is a practice where the goal is walking, not focusing on getting anywhere. We concentrate on our steps by putting one foot in front of another, letting our minds take in the information around us through sight, sound, smell. and the things that we hear. Remember distracting thoughts are going to come when we in the middle of a mindful practice. We allow distracting thoughts pass. Enjoy your mindful practices this summer.
