From east to west crops across Tennessee are looking good for the most part. The weekly crop report from the US Department of Agriculture says that more than 60% of soybeans and corn are in good condition across Tennessee, and around 15% or in excellent condition. Dyer County corn and soybean producer Cody Grills says compared to last year's drought, this year's crops are in great shape.

Our corn is looking really good. I just talked to our our ag pilot yesterday, and he was he's been flying fertilizer on all of our corn and he said that our corn is looking great. Beans are doing fantastic. We're very fortunate. Prices are on the rise, so I have no complaints whatsoever this year.

That's not the case for everyone in the western part of the state though. The weekly USDA report says parts of West Tennessee have missed rain and are in need of a good shower. Meanwhile southeast and Marion County it's a bit of a mixed bag for Stanton Gilliam who grows corn, soybeans, and wheat.

Our later planted corn which was planted three weeks ago. It's it looks good but now now we're hitting our drier part of the year and it's starting, it needs more rain than in our older corn to keep it going to get to where the older corns is. Our beans are looking good.

And in Far East Cocke County, Corbin nice is seeing great conditions for his corn, beans, and wheat

We've had an abundance of rain we started planting corn on April the 21st and took about a week get all of our corn done, and man I think it really paid off. It looks really good
