Duke's Coach Angela Reckart On Building Successful Programs & Coaching Successful Athletes
Today on the podcast is Coach Angela Reckart!
Coach Angela Reckart, the head coach of men's and women's cross country and assistant coach of track & field (distance) at Duke University, has quickly made an impact on the program. In her first season, Reckart led the Blue Devils to remarkable success as both the men's and women's distance units shattered program records, achieved 19 top-five program marks, and saw three individuals qualify for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. The team's achievements were highlighted by standout performances from athletes like Emily Cole, CJ Ambrosio, Nick Dahl, and Michaela Reinhart. Under Reckart's guidance, the program has witnessed significant growth and promising results, cementing her reputation as an accomplished and influential coach. Her previous coaching experience at Penn State and North Carolina also demonstrated her ability to develop All-Americans and foster record-breaking performances.
Today's conversation was super fascinating. I've been loving these discussions with NCAA coaches, and Coach Reck brought the heat to today's conversation! It was so much fun unpacking a plethora of subjects surrounding team and personal excellence with someone who thinks about this subjects on a daily basis. I hope you all enjoy today's conversation as much as we did having it!
