When it comes to NIL and South Carolina's Football program, a lot of people assume that the Gamecocks can't compete. This assumption comes from the lack of major boosters involved with the athletic programs, along with the naive notion that Carolina just can't compete in this space. Shane Beamer, however, hinted at his staff's possible NIL strategy at his annual charity event on Wednesday, and if it's what he alluded to, the Gamecocks are employing the smartest strategy possible when it comes to recruiting and roster retention.
