The Tennessee Young Farmers & Ranchers program is laser focused on preparing the next generation to take their place in agriculture. The program provides opportunities for young people to learn more about new trends and practices in the industry and gives them the platform to network.

In high school for my SAE I started growing flower so I have my own cut flower production. It's called Hefier Flowers. So I've been running that ran that all through high school and now I've continued running it on our family farm. I mostly grow xenios I cut and make bouquets. I go to the local farmers market. I sell them on Facebook, people can come out and see the flowers.

Tennessee YF&R state chair Will Elliott says that's exactly what Young Farmers and Ranchers is there for.
Will Elliott
That's what Young Farmer and Ranchers really provides for those people that are interested in agriculture, that give you that networking ability to come in and get to see people from all over the state that do the same thing and want to do and have that passion of agriculture that everyone else has
