Two Types of Overlanding: Experience VS. Goal Oriented Exploring (Which do you prefer?)
In this week's episode, I recently returned from a 2 week long trip where we covered thousands of miles and it really made me think about the reason we do this thing called Overlanding.
It seems to me that there are two types of Overlanding. Experience based, where we focus more on having fun and finding new things and less about hitting certain points or achieving trail "completion" and then the Goal oriented version which is basically the opposite. Granted, you'll have experiences in both types and you'll get to explore and see lots of amazing things, but to me, it's more about the focus of your journey.
So, today I wanted to talk through those thoughts a bit and also wanted to hear from you all! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
