Were you told statistics about the benefits of breastfeeding which didn’t help you to actually feed your baby? Stephanie gave birth in a breastfeeding hospital, and wanted to breastfeed, but also knew that she was going to do what was best for her as a whole person. She gave birth during Covid lock down and didn’t have access to as many support resources as she would have had otherwise, and worked very hard to provide breastmilk to her baby. In the end, she changed the plan for the health of her family.
On this episode you will hear:
- The pressure put on Stephanie to breastfeed by health professionals
- Conversations Stephanie had with her husband who was in med school about breastfeeding, and his evolution about this
- Stephanie’s triple feeding journey
- Stephanie’s decision to transition away from breastfeeding
- The funny thing Stephanie did when putting away her breastpump
