Sometimes it can be really hard to forgive someone who has really hurt us. Forgiveness isn't something earned. Forgiveness is a gift. It is given. When God sent Jesus to the cross for us, it was a free gift of forgiveness. We didn't deserve it. He did it anyway. When we think about how much we have been forgiven of, it helps us freely give our forgiveness to those who have hurt us. Freely we have received forgiveness, so freely we should give forgiveness. Not because we or anyone else deserves it, but because Jesus deserves it!
