Miami Hurricanes Tuesday Practice RECAP, Linebacker Room Insight, Why Would ACC Add Cal & Stanford?
The Miami Hurricanes are sharpening up the connections between quarterbacks and receivers. Offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson noted on Saturday that this is something the team needs to work on when it comes to downfield passing. In Tuesday’s practice, the connections between quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and weapons like Colbie Young and Xavier Restrepo looked sharper. Host Alex Donno recaps everything he saw in the Tuesday session.
After practice, Donno had the chance to speak with veteran linebackers Francisco Mauigoa, Corey Flagg, Wesley Bissainthe and KJ Cloyd. They spoke about the chemistry of the linebacker room and what it’s been like learning Lance Guidry’s new defense. Each of the veterans discussed the progress of Miami’s true freshmen linebackers. All of them went out of their way to praise Raul “Popo” Aguirre. Donno discussed the absurd idea of the ACC adding Stanford and Cal to their membership. Does this make any sense at all? No.
