152: The Secret to Getting Out of A Slump/BLAH Day
If you’ve been feeling blah, like you don’t know what’s wrong but something IS wrong, you’re not alone! Let me tell you what I focus on when I’m feeling blah, unmotivated or not sure where to start.
I FOCUS ON WHAT I CAN CONTROL
1️⃣ What type of content am I consuming? Am I listening to depressing music? Following people who I don’t align with? Watching things that scare me?
2️⃣ How am I treating myself? I try to be my own best friend. I’ve always got my back. So if I’m feeling “off” I start to pay attention to how I am treating myself and talking to myself.
3️⃣ Am I being reactive or proactive? Am I being insecure, angry, or resentful? Am I unable to accept criticism without making it be something bad about me?
4️⃣What kind of people am I allowing in my life? How do I feel when I am hanging out with these people? Am I calm and myself? Am I on edge?
5️⃣How am I treating others? If I’m mad about one thing am I taking that frustration out on others?
6️⃣How am I spending my time? Am I mindless scrolling on IG? Am I taking the steps to reach my goals?
Ok….I know that was a lot! I know focusing on what I can control helps pulls me out of slumps. I hope it can do the same for you.
