But over the next century, it would be reinvented many times - as an immigrant ship from Britain to Australia, as a jail for convicts in Melbourne, as a tourist attraction throughout the western world. Her last chapter was written in Ohio, where someone lit it on fire on the Fourth of July in 1946.
