In this episode of the Million Dollar Mastermind podcast, Host Larry Weidel is joined by Pavel Stuchlik, Founder of NOA|AON. During their discussion, they touch upon how Pavel learned some of his most valuable business lessons, as well as the beginnings of OrangeTheory and how it became as massive as it is today through the use of smart, in person marketing.
Key highlights include:
- Pavel claims that he learned a lot of his business lessons from a variety of different industries, from accounting and legal to the sports world. He then went into OrangeTheory to learn more about the fitness and wellness industry, and ended up franchises one of their locations.
- When Pavel started his OrangeTheory franchise, there were only six locations open. Due to it being a multi-million dollar franchise now, it’s easy to forget that it had to start somewhere, that it was a much, much smaller business. Pavel had to travel around himself to find the real estate and different locations for it; he built his team and, slowly, it became what it is today.
- One of the smarter marketing moves they made at OrangeTheory was to fully spray paint bikes orange and place them on major intersections. They would keep them there for two weeks, and within that time every radio and TV station was talking about it. What were these orange bikes? What do they mean? Eventually, they did a press release explaining that they were coming to town, and it was all up from there.
