Join Katie and Liz on the 28th installment of their case profile mini-series where they cover the stories of crimes against people of color in New England that simply don't receive enough media attention. Liz starts the episode off by telling the story of the murder of Jakeem Tully. In 2008, Hartford, Connecticut police were called to a hospital to discover 15-year-old Jakeem, who had been fatally shot. His case has never been solved, despite there being a large amount of witnesses. Then, Katie tells the horribly crazy story of the disappearance of Haidar Abushaqra, who went missing out of Manchester, Connecticut, after having a work-related meeting with some mechanics at his car dealership one night in 2011. He was never seen again and his case remains unsolved. Anyone with any information about the homicide of Jakeem Tully is asked to please contact the Hartford Police Major Crimes Unit at (860) 757-4000. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Haidar Abushagra is asked to please call the Manchester Police Department at (860) 645-5510.
